Looking to take your baking to the next level? This simple yet elegant desserts are all very different, but all very easy to make. All it takes is a bit of preparation and a lot of sugar (yum!) so why not try them out for yourself?
This delightful cake is so cute! The swirls are so easy to do, and it will make your cake stand out above the rest – or just look pretty in your refrigerator until it’s time to eat! The blueberry swirls can be made into any patterns that you want, too. Line all of the dots up to make one continuous spiral, or create small heart shapes with individual strokes. You can never have enough blueberry!
These beautiful cookies look complicated, but actually only need chocolate chips, cream, eggs, sugar, raspberry jam, and food coloring! That’s it! Practice piping the meringue in rose shapes on wax paper before adding the ganache. These cute roses can be made into sandwiches easily, or eaten on their own! Elegant and cute, they will be the hit of the party (or dinner) with everyone who takes a bite!
These picture-perfect cupcakes are filled with a coffee milk frosting instead of topped with it. Carefully cut out a shape (it doesn’t have to be hearts, just a cut-out small enough to fit into the cupcake) and remove the excess brownie. Fill it slowly with creamy, delicious frosting and sprinkle with powdered sugar for an added bonus!
The easiest part of this cake is the decoration! It looks very professional, but it’s super easy to do! The trick is to leave the sides bare of any frosting and “dot” on the pretzels in a cute pattern! My favorite part of the cake is the pretzel “crown” at the top! It makes the cake look like it’s a small bit of cake royalty. I’ve always been a fan of adding beer to my baking, too. It’s the bold flavors of beer without the need to actually drink a beer! The use of beer creates a lightness to the cake, as well. Delicious.
This clever trick is used by mixing blackberry puree with gradually increasing amounts of yogurt! You can sweeten this to taste with sugar if your berries are a bit tart, but don’t they look divine? I could eat these everyday. Since blackberries are a natural super fruit, these are a super healthy snack! (perhaps aside from the sugar…) They are made by freezing different colored layers on top of darker layers until the entire popsicle has been frozen! What a cute snack for hot summer days or balmy afternoons.
There’s no excuse not to make your desserts as cute as these! Get creative with what you have lying around and try some of these for yourself! (I’m looking at you, pretzel beer cake!) I’m most excited about the raspberry meringue roses. I love to bring small treats to parties, and these are so easy to make, I might just make them all of the time – without even having a reason! I love the clever use of ombre in the popsicles, too. Eye-catching and delicious, they will brighten anyone’s day!
